As a production and fixing company in Malaysia and Borneo we have all the appropriate filming licenses including FINAS to act as your local sponsor. Fixing service acts as a bridge between the production company and the specific challenges of filming in this environment. Our responsibilities can be broken down into several key areas:

Securing filming permits

Fixer

While it is required to have a fixer on shoot with you in Malaysia and in Malaysian Borneo. We will provide a fixer with the specific expertise to help facilitate your needs on site.

Location scouting & access

Identify ideal filming locations based on your needs and ensure all local authorities are informed and there is safe access.

Hiring local crew

Help recruit experienced production crew, researchers, local guides, animal handlers or assistants familiar with the specific filming environment or wildlife behavior the production is looking for.

Transportation & accommodation

Arranging reliable transportation within Malaysia and Borneo, especially to remote locations and securing suitable accommodation for the crew is crucial.

Shoot preparation

Help arrange or source anything locally that is needed for the shoot from tools, equipment or kit.

Cultural sensitivities

Acts as a cultural intermediary, ensuring the film crew avoids inadvertent offenses and fosters positive relationships with the local community.

Translation & communication

We speak English, Malay and other local dialects so we can facilitate communication between the crew and local communities, local guides, researchers and government officials.
